It eventually led to a film four years later, which became a commercial success. It got him various awards and even led to a music album entitled “Private Parts: The Album”. The album featured artists such as Rob Zombie and The Dust Brothers. It was certified platinum having shipped over one million copies. The book was released in 1993 and was a commercial success, becoming a New York Times Best-Seller.

These opportunities also led Alison to appear regularly on “The Howard Stern Show”, which gained a lot of recognition when it was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2005. The show started in 1979 and moved from various cities until it found a home at New York City. It aired all throughout the United States and Canada, even earning an audience of 20 million listeners during its peak. It has since been revived in 2006 as an exclusive to Sirius XM Radio.
