Badr Hari was born on the 8th December 1984, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, of Moroccan descent, and is a super heavyweight kickboxer, , famous for being the former K-1 Heavyweight Champion (2007-2008), 2009 It’s Showtime Heavyweight Champion (2009-2010) and 2014 GFC Fight Series 1 Heavyweight Tournament Champion.

Badr Hari’s interest in kickboxing dates back to the age of seven, when he began practicing under the mentorship of former World Champion Mousid Akamrane. At the age of 17, Badr Hari transferred to one of the oldest kickboxing gyms in the Netherlands, the famous Chakuriki Gym. Under the guidance of Thom Harinck, Badr Hari became one of the country’s greatest kickboxing talents.

The beginning of Badr Hari’s kickboxing career was quite rough, as he suffered several losses. In 2003, Badr was knocked out by Alexey Ignashov, outweighed by 18kg. In his early career matches, Badr Hari fought under the Dutch flag, but since 2005, after he was booed by the crowd after losing a fight against Stefan Leko, Badr Hari fights under the colors of Morocco. After this infamous match, Badr Hari began cooperating with his new coach – Mike Passenier – who has been helping Badr Hari ever since to become one of the most decorated heavyweight kickboxers nowadays, and with an impressive net worth.

In 2005, Badr Hari debuted in the K-1 World Grand Prix in another match against Stefan Leko. This time Hari came out victorious when he knocked out Leko after one and a half minutes of the second round with a devastating spinning back kick. In the K-1 Grand Prix 2006 Finals, Hari defeated Paul Slowinski, and subsequently defeated Nicholas Pettas at the K-1 Premium 2006 Dynamite!! by breaking his shoulder in the second round. After beating Ruslan Karaev in a dramatic fight at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2007 in Yokohama, Japan, Badr Hari qualified for his first K-1 Heavyweight Title match. All these accomplishments have certainly made an impact on Badr Hari’s popularity and reputation as well as his net worth.

After defeating Yusuke Fujimoto at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2007 in Hawaii after just 56 seconds, Badr Hari won the newly introduced title, K-1 Heavyweight Champion. Later in the same year, Hari defeated Peter “The Chef” Graham at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2007 in Hong Kong, but then in the K-1 World Grand Prix Final 2007, Hari lost the match to Remy Bonjasky. At the It’s Showtime 2009 Amsterdam, Badr Hari faced Semmy Schilt for the newly introduced It’s Showtime World Heavyweight Title. After only 45 second during which Hari knocked down Schilt twice, the fight was stopped and Badr Hari was named the first ever, It’s Showtime Heavyweight Champion. In 2014, Badr Hari participated in the four-man tournament at thhhe GFC Series 1 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. After beating Stefan Leko in the semifinals and The Chef in the finals, Badr Hari gained the GFC Fight Series 1 Heavyweight Tournament Champion Title, and rewarded with $1 million. These achievements have dramatically increased Badr Hari’s overall net worth.

In his professional kickboxing career so far, Badr Hari has won 106 out of 118 professional matches of which 93 was finished by knocking out his opponents.

When it comes to his personal life, Badr Hari has been married since 2012 to Dutch actress, model and fashion designer, Estelle Cruijiff, with whom he has one child.
