Richard A. ‘Bo’ Dietl was born on the 4th December 1950, in New York City, USA, and is a former New York City Police Department detective, but is known to the world as a contributor to the Fox News Network, and through his voice on the Imus in the Morning, a radio talk show.
Have you ever wondered how rich Bo Dietl is, as of mid- 2016? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Bo`s net worth is as high as $10 million, acquired through his various careers. He has started the Beau Dietl & Associates and Beau Dietl Consulting Services, which have also improved his net worth.
Bo Dietl Net Worth $10 Million
One of the four children of Frank and Sally Dietl, Bo grew up in his hometown with his two brothers and a sister. After high school, Bo joined the police department, and slowly progressed through the ranks, reaching the position of Department Detective, which was been the main source of his net worth until the mid-1980s. After that, he ventured into politics; as a republican Bo was nominated for the US Congress in 1986. He was never elected, but in 1989 President George H. W. Bush chose Bo to become the Co-Chairman of the National Crime Commission. In 1994, Bo became Chairman of the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council, selected by the Governor George Pataki. His next position was Security Consultant to the Republican National Convention.
Furthermore, he also served as Director of Security for the New York State Republican Convention. Most recently, Bo announced that he would run for Mayor of New York in 2017 elections.
Apart from working in the police, and for politicians, Bo has also been recognized for his work in the entertainment industry; he is an actor, appearing as a police officer and detective in crime-drama films and TV series, and so far he has made around 15 on-screen appearances, all of which added a substantial amount to his net worth. Bo made his debut appearance in the film “Maniac Cop 2” in 1990, starring Robert Davi and Claudia Christian. The same year he had a brief appearance in the Martin Scorcese`s blockbuster “Goodfellas”, with Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci in lead roles. He continued in roles as a detective in films “This Is My Life” (1992), “Bad Lieutenant” (1992) as himself, “Carlito`s Way” (1993), and “Dead Man’s Curve” in 1998. That year, he released his autobiography, entitled “One Tough Cop: The Bo Dietl Story”, which was made into a film of the same title the same year, with Stephen Baldwin as Bo, but he appeared in the film as Det. Benny Levine.
Most recently, Bo starred in the film “The Wolf of Wall Street” (2013) as himself, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie, and was also selected for the role of Joe Corso in the TV series “Vinyl” (2016), which also added to his net worth.
Regarding his personal life, Bo has been married to Regina since 1973; the couple has two children. He is quite active on popular social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, where he has a great number of followers. This has certainly helped his consulting company, bringing new interested clients, which has only increased further his net worth.
