Bruce’s parents are Bruce Bowen Sr. and Dietra Campbell. According to his statements, Bruce’s childhood was troublesome, marred by his mother’s drug addiction – she even sold their home TV in order to support her addiction – and his father’s fondness for alcohol. Nevertheless, Bruce found solace on basketball courts both in and outside school. He went to West Fresno Edison High School and soon became a star of the high school squad.
