Carmella DeCesare has mixed heritage, as she is of Italian and Puerto Rican descent. She finished her secondary education in Avon Lake High School in 2000, after which she decided to go to college and study business administration. However, her career path changed once she saw that a Fox reality show entitled “Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold?” was searching for contestants. When the show came to Cleveland, she applied and was subsequently chosen as a finalist. At first, she had second thoughts about appearing in the television special which was supposed to air on Fox. However, Hugh Hefner himself allegedly invited her to come back and continue to pursue a modeling career.
