Chuck Mangione Net Worth $10 Million

Chuck is the younger son of two born to Italian-American parents; his older brother is Gap Mangione, with whom he started a band, called Jazz Brothers, and performed with him in the early ‘60s, before he ventured out on his own. Chuck went to the Eastman School of Music, and matriculated in 1963, after which he joined Art Barkley and his band Art Barkley’s Jazz Messengers, playing the trumpet. He stayed in the band for two albums, “Hold On, I’m Coming” (1965), and “Buttercorn Lady” (1966), which was a good start to his net worth.

He was also a part of the Jazz quartet “The National Gallery”, with which he released the album “Performing Musical Interpretations of the Paintings of Paul Klee”. Around the same time Chuck was involved with the Eastman Jazz Ensemble from 1968 to 1972, serving as their director, which also added to his net worth.

From that point he started a solo career, and reached the peak of his popularity in the late ‘70s, with albums “Main Squeeze” (1976), “Feels So Good” (1977), “Children of Sanchez” (1978) – which is also the soundtrack for the film “The Children of Sanchez” – and “Fun and Games” (1979), all of which contributed steadily to his net worth.

Chuck continued to release new music until 2000, in total over 30, however, his albums never reached the level of popularity that he had before, but still, some of the releases stand out, such as “Tarantella” (1980), and “The Feeling’s Back” (1999).

Two members of his band, Gerry Niewood, and Coleman Mellett died in an airplane accident in 2009.

He is also an accomplished actor, as he has appeared in such productions as “Magnum, P.I.” (184), and has voiced himself in the TV series “King of the Hill” (1997-2003), which helped keep him in the public eye, and also contributed to his net worth. He has also been involved in voice-acting, including “King of the Hill”, an animated television series which ran from 1997 to 2003, parodying himself.

Regarding his personal life, Chuck is married to Judi, with whom he has two children.

Chuck is also a well-known philanthropist as he has held numerous charity concerts, including for the victims of an earthquake in Italy in 1980.
