Freddie Prinze Jr. Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Freddie James Prinze, Jr. was born on the 8th March 1976, in Los Angeles, California USA. He is an actor well known for his roles in the films created under the franchise “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997, 1998). Acting is the main source of Freddie Prinze Jr.’s net worth, although he has added significant amounts while working as a director and producer for WWE. Prinze has been active in the entertainment industry since 1995.

How rich is Freddie Prinze Jr.? Well under the latest estimations, the net worth of Freddie is as much as $19 million. Reportedly, he earned $2.25 million just for his role in the comedy horror mystery film “Scooby-Doo” (2002). Of course, being so wealthy Freddie can afford to buy a $3 million-valued house which is 4000 square feet.

Freddie Prinze Jr. Net Worth $19 Million

Freddie Prinze Jr. is the son of the late actor and comedian Freddie Prinze, who sadly committed suicide when his son was one year old. Prinze Jr. was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He debuted on television just after he graduated from high school, at first landing a role in an episode of the television series “Family Matters” (1995). Soon after his debut he was cast as a main character in the romantic drama film “To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday” (1996) directed by Michael Pressman. The same year, Freddie Prinze Jr. won a Golden Globe Award as Mr. Golden Globe, which was a huge success for the newcomer. Later, he appeared in the main cast of “The House of Yes” (1997) directed by Mark Waters, however, the film was highly criticized and failed at the box office. His confidence was recovered after the huge success of the slasher film “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997) directed by Jim Gillespie which grossed over $125 million at the box office. This success was repeated in the sequel “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” (1998) directed by Danny Cannon with box office takings of over $100 million.

Later, Prinze successfully landed the main role in the film “She’s All That” (1999) directed by Robert Iscove. However, this success was preceded by a number of films that failed at the box office, and received poor reviews, for example “Wing Commander” (1999), “Down to You” (2000), “Boys and Girls” (2000), “Head Over Heels” (2001) and “Summer Catch” (2001). Fortunately, his role in the “Scooby – Doo” (2002, 2004) franchise films helped him to re-establish his reputation, with millions reported taken by box offices, though he was nominated as the worst supporting actor for the Golden Raspberry Award in 2002.

It should be noted that his most significant works on television include starring in the series “Freddie” (2005–2006), which was also written and produced by Freddie Prinze Jr. All the roles created on the big screen as well as television added sums to the net worth of Freddie Prize Jr.

More, Freddie increased his net worth working as a host on WWE from 2008 to 2009, and later he made a return to WWE as a producer and director and worked there from 2010 to 2012.

Finally, the private life of Freddie Prinze Jr.: he married to the actress Sarah Michelle Gellar in 2002. – they have two children, and family reside in Los Angeles, USA.

#Quote
1I did 24 (2001), it was terrible. I hated every moment of it. [Kiefer Sutherland] was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash, I'd say it to his face, I think everyone that's worked with him has said that. I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I just sort of stopped. I went and worked for Vince McMahon at the WWE for Christ's sake and it was a crazier job than working with Kiefer, but at least he was cool and tall. I didn't have to take my shoes off to do scenes with him, which they made me do. Just put the guy on an apple box or don't hire me next time. You know I'm 6 feet and he's 5'4.
2[on a possible Buffy reboot movie] No. Not with Sarah. I've never heard of it coming back whatsoever. Joss Whedon is on the movie train right now, and it hasn't stopped yet. So I think he'll be on that for a while. They already made one and it didn't work. That's why they made the TV series. It worked much, much better as a TV series. It worked so well as a TV show, I don't think Sarah would want to invest in something that's already failed once.
3[on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)] A lot of people owe Sarah a lot for doing that show, and she doesn't always get the credit she deserves. She's a very strong woman, because she deals with a lot of nonsense, and instead of that nonsense, she should be thanked - and she's not. That's the reason she won't be coming back.
4I was in the Vancouver airport, and I was speaking with a young girl. She asked if I was Freddie Prinze Jr., and I said I was. She kind of giggled, and while I was talking with her, her girlfriend ran up and took my sandwich. I did not call out after her. I didn't know what to do. I had never had anyone steal food from me before. How do you react if someone takes your sandwich? I just finished my cup of coffee and got on the plane and flew home. [source: New York Post Online Edition]
5It's insane what I see people doing, but they're not going to listen to me, so what am I going to do? I've said a couple of things to a couple of people, but they're not going to learn anything from me. They've got it made, making $12 million a movie, so they don't get it. They don't recognize it as a problem, because it helps them forget about their problems. And if anybody who works with them tries to tell them, usually those people get fired.
6It blows me away to see people younger than my father [was], and for them it's becoming fashionable and glamorous to do heroin and put eight pounds of cocaine up your nose a night.
7If you come out here without a solid foundation, you're done. You're dead before you've lived.
8The pole we were using as a light sabre hit the ground before I hit the ground and then it stuck in my chin. When it came out a big old piece of my chin came with it and my mom ran out screaming and she grabbed the piece of my chin and we rushed to the hospital. They put it back in and stitched it in and it looked like I had a beard at five years old with my stitches. - On that scar on his chin.
9Y'know, the way I see it there's no such thing as being perfect. We're all pretty much made the same but some people are better at certain things than others. Everybody is great at something...you just have to find what that is.
10My face is all messed up and I'm covered in scars! Just look at me, I have parts of me that aren't perfect at all. I appreciate that people think I'm this big heart throb film star, but movies are designed to make you look much better than you are in real life.
11To be honest, I wouldn't change a thing, cos' I like me the way I am. That's the way I was made and I don't think people should try to change that.
12I really tried to live on my own world that no one would want to be a part of. Unfortunately, that backfired, and people wanted to kick the crap out of me because I was different.
13I never did drugs in my life, no matter how often it was thrown in my face.
14I was an untouchable. People just stayed away, which was good because I didn't like what they stood for or believed in. I was raised to believe in myself. I know I'm cool. I'm not trying to brag or say I'm the man or anything like that. I don't lie or cheat, and I'm not mean to anybody. I treat people with respect.
15After years of feeling like an outsider, I finally have a woman I love, and friends that I can trust. I am the luckiest man in the world to have met Sarah.
16My dad taught me the greatest lesson in life and that's to make sure the people around you feel loved. That's something he might not have been able to teach me if he were alive. So I owe him one.
17Being a teenager is the roughest (time of your life) and that's when your emotions are going 90 mph. I'd get angry or sad or I isolated myself a little and then I looked for help.
18"The person who most inspires me today would probably be Evander Holyfield. I like the fact that he's very calm and spiritual and knows what he wants. He gives so much back to the community".
19"My favorite role ever was "Anthony Pascal" from The House of Yes (1997). He was like a "Norman Bates" before his mom bought the motel years. You knew he was going to snap and something was just a little bit off".
20When I was in school I read a lot of comic books and pretend I was in them and kids would tease me and call me names. But now I do the same things and people say that I'm artistic and cool and I'm doing the exact same thing I did in high school. It wasn't a very artistic school.
21Drugs are the sucker's way, man, and I'm not a sucker. I don't smoke, do blow, or hardly ever drink, but there's still a fear: what if it's genetic? I want to be like Evander Holyfield, who has a work ethic, morals, a real heart, who understands his responsibility to help other people, To me, that's an American hero living an American dream.
22I know one day I'm going to be the best father in the world. Me not having a father makes me want to be a great one. I have so much love I wanted to give him, and I'll be damned if I don't give it to a child of mine.
23Life is not about making dough or how many movies you can make in a year. It's about finding someone that you can share things with.
24If people would only think of (my father's) gift (of comedy) instead of his death, I would love it. I have an album of his stand-up, "Lookin' Good", and no matter how upset I was, anytime, ever, the second I played it he could make me laugh. He was so sharp and spontaneous, so fast!
25I'm going to stop acting in the next few years because it's just too weird. You have to constantly be willing to live in a scary, emotional place, which is why actors are in therapy all the time.
26(On children) "I will be the best father you've ever seen. I will win father of the year everytime. And Sarah will be the most fantastic mother."
27[on Valentine's Day] I think it's kind of a crock, and here's why: I believe we should be doing that every day [...] make your girl feel special whenever you can. I'm a big big believer in surprises. You've got to be romantic all of the time. Guys, you can hate me or whatever for saying this, but you know what you should do.
28[on his career choice] [Acting is] the only thing I'm good at. I know how to create and make people feel something. Honestly, if I didn't do this, I would just have some minimum-wage job in New Mexico, and I would go out on the weekends and make just enough money to pay my insurance and pay for a couple beers, and that would be it.
29It only takes 30 seconds to pluck my eyebrows, but it hurts. I have to tweeze them in the middle once a week. Otherwise, I look like Bert from Sesame Street (1969). I've been doing it for 11 years.
30"Kissing Claire was good. I was really nervous, though. I hadn't kissed many girls in real life." - about his scene with Claire Danes in the film To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday (1996).
