She’s also collaborated with other big names in the industry, and as she continues her career it is expected that her wealth will increase.
Scott grew up in a music-oriented family with her mother being country music artist Linda Davis and her father a musician. She attended Donelson Christian Academy, and after matriculating, lived with her grandparents while her parents were touring. She joined her mother in a few shows and was motivated to pursue a music career.

She then attended Middle Tennessee State University and started working on improving her music skills. She worked with Victoria Shaw and even auditioned for “American Idol” twice but couldn’t make it to the judges round. She then met future band mates Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley; they decided to write and play songs together. However, Hillary convinced Kelley that they would be better as a duet, and it led to the formation of Lady Antebellum.

They released their debut single “Love Don’t Live Here” and it reached the third spot of the Billboard’s Hot Country Song charts. Afterwards, they released their self-titled debut album in 2008, and it would reach the top spot of the Top Country Albums chart. Then they released “I Run To You” which became their first number one hit and their album was certified platinum in 2009, including the song “Need You Now” as part of their second album – the song topped the country charts and later also topped the Hot 100 Charts. Their album was then released in 2010 and debuted at number 1 on the Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart. Hillary’s net worth was now well established.

The next releases from the album were “American Honey” and “Our Kind of Love”. These songs would continue the trend of chart-topping hits. In 2011, they released “Just a Kiss” which is part of their third studio album entitled “Own the Night”. The song would become their fifth number one hit and most of the songs they released from the album would certify gold. After the release of “Own the Night”, they would go on tour to promote the album.

They put out their first Christmas album entitled “On This Winter’s Night” and then started working on their next album “Golden”; the first single of the album “Downtown” certified platinum. The songs and album received critical acclaim and it led to the “Take Me Downtown Tour”. One of their latest releases is “Bartender” from their sixth studio album which certified platinum once again. The band announced in 2015 that they will be taking a short break after touring for their sixth album.

Outside of Lady Antebellum, Scott has worked on a gospel album alongside her family; she released the album “Love Remains” and it introduced Hillary Scott & The Scott Family. She has also worked with other artists including Luke Bryan, Dave Barns, and Sara Evans.

Aside from these, she appeared as a mentor during the fourth season of “The Voice” for Team Adam.

For her personal life, it is known that Scott married drummer Chris Tyrrell in 2012. They met while at college and reconnected later when their music careers had taken off. They began dating in 2010 and Chris even performed with Lady Antebellum for a month. They have a daughter and have bought a home together in Brentwood, Tennessee. Scott has two tattoos, a number 14 on her right wrist and a music note on her right foot.
