She then attended Middle Tennessee State University and started working on improving her music skills. She worked with Victoria Shaw and even auditioned for “American Idol” twice but couldn’t make it to the judges round. However, Hillary convinced Kelley that they would be better as a duet, and it led to the formation of Lady Antebellum.
