Jack lived in his hometown until he turned fifteen, and then moved to Conyers, Georgia. After high school, he enrolled at the University of Evansville, Indiana, where he studied theater administration. In 1995 he started working at the Second City and IO Theater, and until 2002 was mostly centered on theater work.
