American actress, television producer, talk show host and presenter Kelly Ripa, was born on 2 October 1970, in Stratford New Jersey, and rose to prominence in 1990, when she joined the cast of the soap opera called “All My Children”, in which she played the role of Hayley Vaughan Santos for 12 years, which turned out to be one of the most popular characters in the series, which was actually aired for over 40 years.
So just how rich is Kelly Ripa, as of mid-2017? According to authoritative sources, Kelly’s net worth is estimated to be over $110 million, most of which she has gathered from her on- screen appearances in a career which began in the mid-1980s. As an example, in 2013 Ripa earned $20 million, and added $24.5 million from the sale of her New York penthouse.
Kelly Ripa Net Worth $110 Million
Kelly Maria Ripa is of Irish and Italian ancestry. She was educated at Eastern High School in Stratford, but also learned ballet and to play the piano from an early age. It was in high school where she decided to pursue an acting career, after she was inspired by her drama teacher. Ripa continued her studies at Camden County College, but quit her studies and moved to New York to become an actress. Ripa’s success came early, as she was cast to portray Vaughan in “All My Children”, first aired on television screens in 1970, and finished its run in 2011 with 43 seasons and 10,755 episodes in total. Over the years, the show received numerous awards, including Daytime Emmy, Writers Guild of America and Directors Guild of America Awards.
Kelly Ripa was then cast as one of the main stars of the sitcom called “Hope & Faith”, created by Joanna Johnson, which ran from 2003 until 2006, managing to attract a significant audience, and even inspire the release of international versions of the show. Largely due to her performance in the show, Ripa was offered a position alongside Regis Philbin, who was looking for Kathie Lee Gifford’s replacement on his talk show called “Live!”. Initially, Ripa served as Philbin’s co-host, then when he left the show in 2011, she became the main host, which was renamed “Live! with Kelly”. In order to find a suitable co-host, Ripa worked with such celebrities as Chris Harrison, Martin Short, Dana Carvey, Reggie Bush and Jerry Seinfeld to name a few, but eventually Michael Strahan was chosen to replace Philbin in “Live! with Kelly and Michael”. Currently, Kelly Ripa remains with the show, continuing to build her net worth.
Aside from television shows, Kelly Ripa has appeared in the films “Marvin’s Room”, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep, “The Stand-In” and “Fly Me to the Moon”, but TV is certainly her forte.
In her personal life, she has been married to Mark Consuelos since 1996, and they have three children. Kelly is also a noted philanthropist – in 2011 she raised $3.5 million from an event for “The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund”.
