Laura went to Glastonbury High School, and matriculated in 1981. After that she enrolled at Dartmouth College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree four years later. Her education didn`t stop there, as she completed a Juris Doctor degree at the School of Law in the University of Virginia in 1991. Getting familiar with journalism at her alma mater, Laura was a staff member of The Dartmouth Review, an independent conservative newspaper, and eventually became an editor in chief. However, she wrote several controversial articles, one of which eventually led to court, and was settled privately.
While a student at Dartmouth, she also started working as a speechwriter for administration for Domestic Policy Advisor led by Ronald Reagan. Furthermore, Laura was the editor in chief of the magazine The Prospect. After she obtained her law degree, she worked in New York for judge Ralph K. Winter, Jr.. Her stint ended when she found engagement in the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as an attorney, which increased her net worth to a large degree.
After her successful start as a writer and attorney, Laura joined the CBS as political commentator, and then became a host of the show “Watch It” on the MSNBC network. Since then she has contributed to such shows as “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox, and “This Week” on ABC News. However, she is best known for her radio talk show, “Laura Ingraham Show”, which began in 2001, and since then has become one of the top five radio shows in the US. This has increased Laura`s net worth by a large margin.
She is also recognized as an author, releasing five books, including “The Hillary Trap: Looking for Power in All the Wrong Places” (2000), “Power to the People” (2007), which became New York Times bestseller, and “The Obama Diaries” (2010), which also topped The New York Times best seller list, increasing further her net worth.
Regarding her personal life, Laura has had a somewhat stormy life; she didn`t speak with her brother for years, due to their different views on same-sex marriage and homosexuality. She had a breast cancer which demanded surgery. She was engaged to James V. Reyes in 2005, however their relationship broke after her surgery. Previously, she was in a romantic relationship with Dinesh D’Souza, to whom she was also engaged, and with broadcaster Keith Olbermann. Since then, she has adopted three children.
