Mark Farner began his musical career in 1965 when he joined the band called The Pack, while he also played in The Bossmen (1966), and The Fabulous Pack (1967-1968). In 1969, Farner, Don Brewer (drums), and Mel Schacher (bass guitar) formed the Grand Funk Railroad, the band that released 13 studio albums from 1969 to 1983.
Their debut album was “On Time” (1969), and it achieved the golden status, peaking at the No. 27 on Billboard 200 chart. “Grand Funk” (1969) had a better commercial success, and it reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200, while the single “Mr. Limousine Driver” entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 97th place.
