Martin St. Louis's Net Worth as of 2024
$40 Million

Martin St. Louis was born on the 18th June 1975, in Laval, Quebec Canada, and is a retired ice hockey right wing who played in the International Hockey League, American Hockey League, and National Hockey League (NHL) for such teams as the Cleveland Lumberjacks, Saint John Flames/Calgary Flames, Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers, and won one Stanley Cup trophy in 2004, the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2003-2004, and Art Ross Trophy in the 2003-2004 and 2012-2013 seasons.

Have you ever wondered how rich Martin St. Louis is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that St. Louis’ net worth is as high as $40 million, an amount earned through his successful career as an ice hockey player, which was active from 1997 until 2015.

Martin St. Louis Net Worth $40 million

Martin is the son of Normand St. Louis and his wife France; he grew up with his sister, Isabelle in his native Laval. Before college, he played in midget age tournaments showing his skills, but due to his small stature, most teams feared that he would be easily stopped on the ice by defensive players. However, after showing his a real deal, many Universities fought for his signature, and he joined the University of Vermont. During his three years at Vermont, Martin won numerous accolades and recognitions, and thanks to his 267 points he became an all-time leader of the University. He won the ECAC Player of the Year in the 1994-1995 season, and after three extremely successful years at Vermont, Martin received numerous offers from the NHL teams, however, he decided to finish studies and then try himself in the NHL.

Following the 1996-1997 season at the University, none of the NHL teams had a contract offer for young Martin, so eventually, he joined the Cleveland Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League, and after 56 games, 16 goals scored and 34 assists, he received a contract offer from the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League, and after 25 games with them he was given a chance in the NHL, playing for the Calgary Flames. Unfortunately, he wasn’t good enough and was sent back to the Saint John Flames, where he spent two additional seasons, before again returning to the Flames. Sadly, his improvements still weren’t enough, and he was an unrestricted free agent following the 1999-2000 season.

This turned out to be good for Martin, as he signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and though he struggled in the beginning and went through a leg injury, he had a breakthrough season in 2002-2003 when he played in all 82 games, scoring 38 goals and making 56 assists. From then, he became one of the main players of the franchise, leading them to the Stanley Cup trophy in 2004, while the same year he won the Art Ross and Hart Memorial Trophies, and by that became the first player to achieve such since the legendary Wayne Gretzky in the 1986-1987 season.

He played for the Tampa Bay Lightning until 2014 when he was sent to the New York Rangers, but before the move, he won several other awards and recognitions, including appearing six times in the NHL All-Star Game. He played for two seasons with his new team, without major success, and after not being offered a new contract from the Rangers or any other NHL team, he decided to retire from hockey. He finished his career with 1,134 regular games and 1,033 points.

On 13th January 2017 he became the first player in the Tampa Bay Lightning franchise history to have his jersey retired.

Aside from a successful club career, Martin also played for the Canadian national ice hockey team, winning gold medals at the World Cup in 2004, and at the Olympic Games in 2014
Regarding his personal life, Martin has been married to Heather Caragol since 2000; the couple has three children together.

Tiger Woods Net Worth

Published

on

Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods was born on 30 December 1975 in Cypress, California USA, of part-Chinese, and African- and Native- American (father) and Thai (mother) descent. He is one of the the world’s highest earning sportsmen, a  professional golfer who was ranked number one in the world for a total of 545 weeks between in 1997 and 2010, and then for another 60 weeks in 2013-14, the most of any golfer, and during which period he won 119 tournaments on the PGA and European tours.

So just how rich is Tiger Woods? Regardless of the fact that Woods’ divorce from ex-wife Elin Nordegren (former Swedish model), cost him $100 million dollars – including $54.5 million in mortgage payment finalised in January 2016 – authoritative sources estimate that Tiger’s net worth is now still over $770 million, accumulated from golf prize money of around $160 million, and the rest from endorsements during a 20 year career, totalling overall more than $1.3 billion.

Tiger Woods Net Worth $770 Million

Encouraged by his father Earl, Tiger became a child golfing prodigy, already at the age of 3 putting against comedian Bob Hope.  He was called on TV shows and published in Golf Digest magazine. He won age group events around the world from the age of eight, and being a 15 year-old teenager he became the youngest US Junior Amateur champion. He was educated at Western High School, Anaheim, but golf was his priority, and at 20 (1996), he became  the first in golf history to win three consecutive US Amateur titles, while (apparently) studying at Stanford University.

Tiger then turned professional, and immediately signed multi-million dollar contracts with famous companies such as Nike and Titleist. Next year Woods won his first ‘major’, the US Masters, and achieved number one world ranking, the youngest and the fastest to get to that position. The list of his winnings is endless and achievements too many to mention, but apart from aforementioned 79 victories in the USA and Europe – only Sam Snead has won more(82) – he has won two Japan Golf Tour events, an Asian Tour event, one PGA Tour of Australasia event, as well as 21 titles as an amateur. Of particular significance is that Tiger has won 14 ‘major’ titles, second only behind Jack Nicklaus(18), which has included the ‘grand slam’ of golf three times. In addition, he had been awarded PGA Player of the year 11 times and the Byron Nelson award eight times. There can be no doubt that Tiger Woods has earned his net worth.

Woods is considered the most successful player of all times, partly because of his winning record, but also because he is the first and the only golfer to have earned more than a billion dollars. This fortune was made not only by playing golf, but also by signing very lucrative contracts with companies such as Rolex, General Motors, American Express, and Gatorade apart from Titleist and Nike, and becoming an ambassador for Gillette. Moreover, the  businesses of Tiger Woods Foundation which promotes golf, and Tiger Woods Design which is involved with golf courses development, are also very profitable. The athlete is a published writer with “How I Play Golf” as well, which has brought him steady income from 1.5 million copies sold. He has also written a column for the magazine “Golf Digest’ – presumably both added to his net worth.

Following his very public divorce from Elin Nordegren who he married in 2004 – they divorced in 2010 and have two children – also involving details of infidelity over the years,  Tiger Woods dated Olympic Games skiing gold medallist Lindsey Vonn for a couple of years, but apparently no more. He was raised a Buddhist, and professes to still follow the teachings.
