Michael Francis Seander Jr. graduated from St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 2006. During college he played both basketball and baseball, and in 2006 he received the title of Rhode Island’s Gatorade Player of the Year. His talent helped him get a scholarship to Duke University, where he continued playing baseball. He had an impressive start, with a first season in which he had the second highest number of saves (9) in the history of his school. In the summer of 2007, he also played as a closer for the Newport Gulls in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. After this first good season with the team, he suffered a serious arm injury, and had to go through a Tommy John Surgery, which kept him out of the baseball team the entire season in 2009. During the recovery period, the baseball player started making music and, when he had to quit his sport career, focused on doing hip-hop.
