Princess Caroline Net Worth $100 Million

Princess Caroline was born to Rainier III, who was the Prince of Monaco, and mother Grace Kelly, a former American actress; she is the older sister of Prince Albert II and Princess Stephanie. Thus, by birth she is a part of the House of Grimaldi, and as the first child of Prince of Monaco, she was entitled as an heir presumptive to the throne of Monaco from her birth until the birth of her brother Prince Albert II. She went to St. Mary’s School in Ascot, England, and she also earned her French baccalauréat with honors in 1974, after which she enrolled at the Sorbonne University, from which she minored in Psychology and Biology, and graduated with a degree in Philosophy.

Speaking about her career, Princess Caroline was appointed in 1979 to the position of the President of the Monegasque Committee for the International Year of the Child by her father.

Two years later, she established her own organization called ‘Jeune J’écoute’ (Young I Hear), which helps students with their education. She is also known for her collaboration with other charities, such as the Princess Grace Foundation, the World Association of Children’s Friends (AMADE), UNICEF, etc. She is also a sponsor of the International School of Paris, The Spring Arts Festival, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, which she founded, among others.

Furthermore, after the death of her mother in 1982, Princess Caroline began to serve as de facto first lady of Monaco, being in that position until 2011, when her brother Princess Albert II officially married.

Thanks to her accomplishments, Princess Caroline has earned a number of recognitions and awards, including when she was named a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in 2003, when she won Children’s Champion Award from UNICEF in 2006, and beside that, she was also honored with the Grand Cross of the Order of St. Charles.

Regarding her personal life, Caroline married businessman Philippe Junot in 1978, but although they divorced two years later, their marriage was not annulled by the Vatican until 1992. Thus, the children from her second marriage with Stefano Casiraghi (1983-1990) were considered “illegitimate” by the Roman Catholic Monaco, and technically were ineligible for Monaco’s royal succession. In 1999, she married the Prince of Hanover, Ernst August, with whom she has a daughter.
