Randy Bachman Net Worth $15 Million

Randy is the son of Karl Bachman and Anne Dobrinsky, and is of German and Ukrainian descent. At an early age he was introduced to music, and at the tender age of three he won a singing contest on CKY’s King of Saddle, and two years later began violin lessons which he continued for the next seven years before deciding to quit as he felt he had outgrown the lessons. Three years later he saw Elvis Presley perform on television, and fell in love with the guitar and its sound, and with the help of Lenny Breau he learned finger picking. Randy became intrigued with the guitar, and while visiting a Les Paul concert, the famous guitarist taught Randy a guitar lick and how to play the song “How High the Moon”.

When it comes to his education, Randy wasn’t quite a model student, as he was expelled from several schools, and didn’t graduate from college. Nevertheless, Randy found his calling in music, and with Chad Allan co-founded the band Al and the Silvertones in 1962. Soon they changed the name to Chad Allan and the Expressions, and then to The Guess Who. Randy stayed in the band until the early ‘70s, and oversaw the release of such albums as “Shakin’ All Over” (1965), “It’s Time” (1966), “Weatfielf Soul” (1969), and “American Woman” (1970) which reached No. 1 on the US charts, and marked the start of dominance of the band, however, Randy left due to differences with other band members – Randy is a Mormon, and was against drugs, alcohol and the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, which forced him to leave the band.

Randy then started a band called Brave Bet, which featured his brother Robbie Bachman and friend Chad Allan. Soon they were joined by Fred Turner, which resulted in a heavier sound. However, Allan left the group and Randy brought in his second brother, Tim as a vocalist, and changed the name to Bachman-Turner Overdrive, taking the name of Fred. Since the mid- ‘70s they have released nine studio albums, including “Four Wheel Drive” (1975), “Freeways” (1977), “Street Action” (1978), and “Bachman-Turner Overdrive” (1984), among others, which have sold nearly 30 million copies worldwide.

Regarding Randy’s personal life, he has been married twice, and has seven children from those marriages. His first wife was Lorayne Stevenson, with whom he was married from 1966 to 1977, and the couple has six children together. In 1982 he married Denise McCann, but they divorced in 2011; the couple has one child together.

He is also known as a solo artist as well as the frontman of Black Country Communion. His musical career has been active since 1967.

So, have you ever wondered how rich Glenn Hughes is, as of mid-2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of Glenn’s net worth is over $3 million, accumulated through his successful involvement in the music industry. Another source is coming from the sales of his autobiographical book “Deep Purple And Beyond: Scenes From The Life Of A Rock Star” (2011).

Glenn Hughes Net Worth $3 Million

Glenn Hughes spent his childhood in his hometown, the only child of William and Sheila Hughes. Information about his education is unknown, except that he quit school when he was 15 years old in order to pursue a career as a musician.

Glenn was initially a member of several rock bands as a bassist and vocalist, including the Hooker Lees, then The News in early 1967, after which he joined Finders Keepers and another funk rock band called Trapeze, all of which marked the beginning of his professional musical career and basis of his net worth. With Trapeze, he released three studio albums – “Trapeze” (1970), “Medusa” in the same year, and “You Are The Music…We’re Just The Band” (1972).

In the following year, he was offered to join Deep Purple to replace bassist Roger Glover, so he left Trapeze. His first major work with the band was the album “Burn” in 1974, and another one later that year entitled “Stormbringer”. Before they disbanded two years later, they released one more studio album “Come Taste The Band” (1975) and a number of live albums, all of which added a considerable amount to his net worth. Nevertheless, Glenn continued as a solo artist, releasing his debut studio album “Play Me Out” in 1977.

In 1982, Glenn co-formed Hughes/Thrall band with guitarist Pat Thrall, and they released the self-titled album, but without major success. Three years later, he recorded the studio album “Run For Cover” with Gary Moore, and during the same year, the band Phenomena released with him their self-titled album, and two years later “Phenomena II: Dream Runner” (1987), all of which increased his net worth by a large margin. Although he had serious problems with alcohol and drugs at that time, which had a huge influence on his musical career, he successfully released with Black Sabbath, featuring Tony Iommi, the album “Seventh Star” (1986).

By the 1990s, he had recovered and continued with his solo career, releasing such albums as “L.A. Blues Authority Volume II: Glenn Hughes – Blues” (1992), “Feel” (1995), and “Return Of Crystal Karma” (2000). His first solo album in the new millennium was “Building The Machine” (2001), after which out came “Songs In The Key Of Rock” (2003), “Music For The Divine” (2006), and “First Underground Nuclear Kitchen” (2008), all of which contributed to his wealth.

In the following year, he founded the band Black Country Communion, alongside drummer Jason Bonham, keyboard player Derek Sherinian, and guitarist Joe Bonamasa. The band’s debut album “Black Country” was released in 2010, increasing further his net worth, after which they released three more albums. The band split up in 2013, but in the same year he founded a new band called California Breed, and they released one self-titled album two years later, before splitting up in 2015.

Most recently, Glenn released a solo album entitled “Resonate” in 2016, and his net worth is still certainly rising.

Thanks to his accomplishment in the music industry, Glenn was inducted as a member of Deep Purple into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

If to talk about his personal life, Glenn Hughes has been married to Gabrielle Lynn Dotsun since 2000; previously he was married to Karen Ulibarri. His current residence is in Los Angeles, California.
