Money grew up in Jamaica, a middle-class neighborhood in Queens, New York. At an early age, he showcased a great talent of playing piano, performing at the acclaimed Carnegie Hall in New York City when he was 11. By his teenage years, he became a recognized local DJ, MC and producer, making tracks for local artists. However, surrounded by drugs and crime in his neighborhood, Money soon fell victim to the streets, as earning fast money and hood respect seemed a more appealing option than making music. Fortunately, in the mid ’90s, he returned to his talents and went on to pursue a music career.

In 1997 Money became an intern at Def Jam Records through a marketing program at New York University for continuing education, under Julie Greenwald. During his internship, he produced for various artists under JMJ Records, attended numerous hip-hop events, eventually doing street team work for Nas’ “It Was Written”, under the direction of Steve Stoute.

It was through this label that Money met the rap mogul 50 Cent, establishing a great friendship and collaboration with the artist. He became 50 Cent’s engineer, A&R, manager, executive producer, guerilla marketer, and eventually the President of his acclaimed label G Unit Records, all of which considerably added to his net worth. He has been credited with producing the majority of the albums released by the label and helping to bring 50 Cent to the attention of mainstream audiences, while also paving his own way to recognition and fame.

In the meantime, Money founded his own independent ventures, the management company called Money Management Group and the Teamwork Music company, through which he has sustained management responsibilities for various artists and producers, significantly improving his reputation and wealth.

After his four-year tenure as the President of G Unit which lasted from 2003 to 2007, Money presented the One Stop Shop Producer Conference, gathering top-level producers around the globe and providing them with an introduction on how to break into the industry. This would become an annual event.

In 2009 he launched his Dream Big Ventures label, signing a multi-million music and film distribution deal with The Orchard, to bring his team of artists and producers to the mainstream of the music industry. The following year he was appointed the senior VP of A&R at Def Jam Records, and not long after, he became the executive producer for Big K.R.I.T.’s debut album, “Live From the Underground” and signed 2 Chainz to the Def Jam label. All contributed to his net worth.

As of 2015, he has been serving as the executive VP of A&R at Epic Records.

Money has been considered as one of the best selling Hip Hop producers of all time. Aside from producing 50 Cent’s first two albums, he has also produced for other major names, such as Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Eminem, Lil’ Kim, Busta Rhymes, Stevie Wonder and the whole G Unit roster. He has worked on movie soundtracks, such as for the 50 Cent film “Get Rich or Die Trying”, and on various video games as well, including “Bullet Proof” and “Freestyle Basket Ball”.

When talking about his personal life, Money has managed to keep it away from the media. Thus, details about his relationship status haven’t been revealed to the public.
