She is a model, actress, and reality television star, perhaps still best known as the winner of the Miss New York and then Miss USA pageant in 1995, and for starring in the television series “Pacific Blue” and “Meet the Barkers”.

She began her modeling career at 15, winning the Miss Teen All- American title in 1993, and two years later being named Miss New York, and then finished as the first runner-up in the Miss USA pageant held in Texas in 1995, but later received the Miss USA crown, after the original winner Chelsi Smith became Miss Universe.
Moakler began her acting career in 1996, appearing in the television series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” and “Due South”.
