Sheena Shirley Orr was born on 27 April 1959, in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Scotland, to Annie and Alex Orr. As Sheena Easton, she is known as a recording artist and stage and screen actress, but most famous for her hits “Morning Train”, “Strut”, “Sugar Walls”, “For Your Eyes Only” and “The Lover In Me”.

Easton grew up in Scotland along with her five siblings. She attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow, and performed at local clubs with the band Something Else. In 1979 she appeared in the BBC reality television series “The Big Time”, focusing on amateurs trying to become pop-music stars, which subsequently enabled her to sign a record deal with EMI Records. Her debut singles “Modern Girl” and “9 to 5” became instant hits, making Easton the first female artist since the 50s to have two Top 10 hits at the same time in Britain.
