The popularity of the show rose significantly since its creation in 2001, and as a result was adapted in more than 46 countries around the world. “Idols” influenced the creation of a popular American singing competition called “American Idol”, which over the years has produced some of the most known stars, including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Caleb Johnson, Taylor Hicks and many more.

However, Simon Fuller rose to prominence even before that. Prior to creating “Idols”, Fuller was known as a manager of one of the most successful British pop girl groups “Spice Girls”. Over the years as a managed, Simon Fuller has worked with such popular celebrities as Steven Tyler, Lewis Hamilton, Amy Winehouse, Lisa Marie Presley, and is currently partnered with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. A famous talent manager, how rich is Simon Fuller? In 2009, Fuller earned a $2.5 million compensation from CKX, a company, which owns and develops entertainment content. In 2010, this compensation rose to $14.2 million. That same year, Fuller added $28 thousand as a salary from “American Idol”. In total, Simon Fuller’s net worth is estimated to be $560 million. The majority of Fuller’s net worth and wealth comes from his talent managing and other business ventures.

Simon Fuller was born in 1960, in East Sussex, England. Fuller’s career begins in 1981 at a British recording label called “Chrysalis Records” and a recording division “Artists and repertoire” (A&R). Several years since his start at the company, Fuller was able to sign a major hit by Madonna called “Holiday” to their label. Soon enough, Fuller saw talent in Paul Hardcastle, a musician after whose song he named his very first company called “19 Entertainment”. Fuller worked for over twenty years in “19 Entertainment” in order to make it a large business. The company that generated over $288 million in revenue in 2008 but was sold to CORE Media Group, formerly known as CKX. Fuller then became the director of the company with the control over the main assets of CKX. Fuller’s contributions were awarded in 2008 with a PGA Award that he received from the Producers Guild of America. Fuller’s television success came in 2001 with the first airing of “Idols”, which soon became one of the most popular television series in the UK and all around the world. Needless to say, Fuller’s contributions to the music industry are enormous. Fuller discovered such artists as Cathy Dennis, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and others.
