That same year, Hicks debuted in Robert De Niro’s movie “A Bronx Tale” alongside De Niro and Chazz Palminteri, while in 1995 she signed a record deal with Motown Records. Also in 1995, Taral appeared alongside Sean Connery, Laurence Fishburne and Kate Capshaw in “Just Cause”, while in 1996, she played in Penny Marshall’s Oscar Award-nominated “The Preacher’s Wife” starring Denzel Washington, Whitney Houston, and Courtney B.
